Product sourcing for the Automotive Industry

Our client was in the development phase of a new product, to be sold and used in the automotive industry. All components and parts needed to be sourced from outside. They had previously sourced parts in Turkey and Czech Rep, but never in Asia. With no prior experience in sourcing in Asia and not enough time and resources to travel, they contacted us to find reliable manufacturers in Taiwan. This project was complex and we needed to find manufactures with different expertise which included plastic injecting mold, CNC machining and finally we wanted to help find a great case for the final product. The production of all the components needed to be coordinated so they could be shipped at the same time to further save cost.

From first meeting - via Skype - throughout the development of the different parts of the project, to packing and shipment, we keep a high level of communication with our client to keep them informed with the progress of project, so they could prepare the marketing, sales and promotion of the new products. 

 

Wingman Group made it possible for us to Source in Asia even without any knowledge of product sourcing in Asia. Due to the ease of during this project we are currently working on several new projects.

The impossible made possible

A couple of years ago our client purchased some special stainless steel pins in Taiwan. Due to their previous supplier had gone out of business; they had trouble finding a new supplier. Another challenge in this case was that they only needed 500,000 pins way less than the minimum order quantity of 5,000,000 that is normal for such product. They therefore asked us if we could find a new supplier that was willing to supply such small quantity. We succeeded in find a small local Taiwanese manufacturer that was willing to produce the small quantity and in the same good quality. 

 

From our first meeting to the goods were shipped it took less than 2 weeks. Wingman Group is really great to work with. Everything went smooth.
